“Behind the Scenes”
This month we recognize our Education Outreach Team comprised of Bob & Maxine Dearborn, Jim & Shellie VanWinkle and Bob Knox. Our Education Outreach team visits dozens of 2nd, 4th & 5th grade classes at schools from all over the San Fernando Valley seeing between 1500 and 2000 students and teachers each year. They have created three distinct timeline presentations specifically targeted for each grade level and the earth sciences topics they are learning about.  Congratulations to our fabulous Education Outreach Team…our May 2017 “Rock Stars” of the month!

All our monthly “Rock Stars” will be entered into a special drawing at the end of the year where the lucky winner will receive 2 free admissions to our annual Holiday Party. (a $50.00 value) Plus a mystery mineral specimen donated by club president Chris Ward.
