December 2023 Holiday Party & 2024 Board of Directors Elections
Join us at our 2023 Holiday Party & 2024 Board of Directors Elections and a beginners introductory PowerPoint presentation on the many colors and forms of Silicon Dioxide or more commonly known as Quartz. As is customary for our holiday party, the festivities will begin at 6:30 pm, one hour earlier than usual. As of this writing, we have 32 members and 2 guests who have confirmed their attendance. The pot-luck menu is chock full of delicious dishes and desserts sure to please even the most picky of palates. See you all there!

A Message From Your Treasurer
It's time to renew your annual dues for 2024! Please submit your dues to treasurer, Shellie Van Winkle, either at the January meeting or via mail to Shellie's address. Please DO NOT bring your dues to the December meeting/holiday party as there are many other things going on that evening and the board will be very busy coordinating the evening's events. Dues are $26 per adult 18 years of age or older. $10 per junior member 17 years of age or younger and $15 per associate member. Remember, we have to pay our 2024 liability insurance to the CFMS in January so we need all members to be paid up.

Chatsworth Kiwanis Holiday Parade & Festival - Sunday December 10, 2023
The Del Air Rockhounds will once again have a double booth at this event. Set-up begins at 9:00 am. The event runs from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. We will be in the festival area on Canoga Ave at Devonshire St. In addition to selling our boutique items, we will also have our Spin-a-Wheel, grab bags, touch & feel items and an educational game. We are looking for volunteers to spell our regulars who will be there all day. So if you can spare an hour or two between noon and 5 pm please let an education outreach team member know and we'll fit you in. Keep your eye out for our January 2024 bulletin, to be released in about a month's time, that will include a list of upcoming Education Outreach events we already have scheduled beginning mid January and going into February.
