Can you believe it’s already February! It’s very cold and our rain is finally arriving this week. The vaccine is moving forward, albeit with a few hiccups, and we’re coming up on one full year since the pandemic started. My, how time flies! We had a stellar turnout for our Whale Bone Hunt on Saturday January 23rd. The weather was beautiful and sunny all the way up to about 3:00 pm when the rain finally rolled in. By this time, most everyone had already finished their hunt and we were all spread out at the picnic tables eating our lunches. Almost everyone found whale bone along with a fine array of seashells and drift wood. After being cooped up for so long, it really was a sight to behold seeing so many people enjoying themselves at this beautiful beach and still wearing masks and keeping proper distances. Thanks to all who attended and made this a really great day! Chris Ward, President; Editor
