Del Air Rockhounds and the Coronavirus Pandemic

Hello Friends and Fellow Rockhounds

While we all have been affected by the coronavirus lock-down, the Del Air Rockhounds are no different than anyone else.

Our club, as well as our parent organization, The California Federation of Mineralogical Societies (CFMS), have been forced to cancel all events, meetings, field trips, shows and other activities indefinitely while the world deals with this tragic event.

The Del Air Rockhounds Club encourages everyone to follow their local, state and federally imposed rules and guidelines regarding social distancing, face masks and shelter in place recommendations.

As has already been said a bazillion times ad nauseum, "We Are All In This Together" and together, we can overcome this obstacle and gradually work our way back to a semblance of our normal lives and schedules.

When we are given the "all clear" from the powers that be, we will resume our monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month observing whatever social distancing requirements that may be put in place.

We are hoping to be able to hold our next scheduled meeting on Thursday August 6th, 2020. May and June meetings have already been ruled out and July is our regularly scheduled "Dark" month. Should this information change, we will post it here for all our friends and family to see.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Warm Regards,
Chris Ward
President - Del Air Rockhounds Club
