May 2014 Program:
"Fossils
of the San Gabriel Valley"
Presented By: Keith
Krzywiec
Are
you curious about fossils in Los Angeles? Do you know you can find various
fossils in your own backyard? Keith Krzywiec, the founder of West Coast
Fossil Paleontology will present to us the fossils from the San Gabriel
Valley and throughout the Los Angeles basin. Many fossils are dated back
from the mid to late Miocene Epoch. The audience will have an opportunity
to view his prize collection of more than 80 specimens including fish, plants,
fossil wood, shell fish, whale fossils, etc. Slide projection and discussion
include an introduction of geological history and identification of artifacts
on display.
This
is one program not to miss!
