Church - 9650 Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA. Guests are always welcome
at our meetings and events however our annual Holiday Party in December
requires a prepaid reservation in advance.

Oct 2017 Program: Our Annual Silent Auction
Presented by: Del Air Board of Directors
Our silent auction is really many
auctions until everything gets a bid and someone takes it home. Bidding starts
at 25 cents on each item and goes up by 25 cents or more. When the timer rings,
the last name on the list gets the item and pays the club treasurer.
We are very limited in our ability to make change so PLEASE, PLEASE,
PLEASE bring your quarters, $1.00 & $5.00 bills to make it easy on
everyone.
We will have a ‘KIDS ONLY’ table to
for all our Pebble Pups. We will also have many higher end items this year due
to generous donations made by past and recently deceased members estates. There
will also be an extended auction table for some items that start higher than 25
cents. This table will go out at the beginning of the auctions but will
actually be the very last auction of the evening. Not only rocks are on the
tables; there can be items that are used in our hobby as well as baked goods
& homemade items. ALL VERY NICE ITEMS YOU WILL WANT TO BID ON!
This is always a lot of fun for
everyone and remember - KEEP YOUR PENCIL HANDY, BECAUSE SOMEONE MAY PUT A HIGHER
BID ON TOP OF YOURS!

Granada Hills Street Faire

Chatsworth Street between Zelzah and
Yarmouth Avenue - Granada Hills, CA 91344
Several of our regular members who
normally work this event are out of town this year and won’t be able to help
out. Therefore, we are looking for other members to volunteer to help work our
booth. We will have the Spin-a-Wheel, Grab Bags, Touch & Feel Table,
GumBall Machine and one of our Kids Educational Games.
Set up begins at 8:30 am and the event
runs 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Chris Ward and Bob Knox will be there the entire time
and will need a few more people to help cover a minimum 2 or 3 hour shift or
however much longer you wish to stay. We won’t throw you out!
This is a really fun event! In addition
to selling our wares, we will be promoting our club and talking rock and other
earth sciences with hundreds of eager Faire attendees. Please, please, please
come see Chris Ward or Bob Knox and let us know you’d like to volunteer and
help make this, our 4th year doing this event, our best one yet! Thanks so
much!

Del-Air Holiday Party
Our annual
Holiday Party will be held on our regular meeting day, the first Thursday of
the month, December 7, 2017 beginning with an appetizer and holiday punch
social at 6:45 pm with dinner being served at 7:30 pm. Our dinner will be
hosted once again by Boston Market and the menu will include your choice of
rotisserie chicken or meat loaf along with choice of potatoes and vegetable,
Southwest Salad, cornbread muffins and dessert. Beverages will include holiday
punch, coffee, hot tea and water. Cost is $25.00 per person. Please return this reservation form along with your check made
