Mars: Recent & Future;
Jupiter: at the Moment
Presented by Neil Mottinger
Neil Mottinger, a Navigation Engineer at the Caltech Jet
Propulsion Laboratory for over 52 years, will talk about a Mars lander with an
ultrasensitive seismometer, and plans for the next Mars rover, carrying a
helicopter, to launch in July 2020 and land on Mars in February 2021. A JPL
orbiter at Jupiter is opening scientists’ eyes to a fascinating planet in our
solar system.
