“Places to Go;
Rocks & Minerals to Collect”
Presented By: Chris Ward & Bob Knox
Come and explore with us all the many places you can
go to collect rocks, minerals and fossils. Be it just for a day, over a weekend
or for a full-blown family vacation, you’re likely to find many treasures to
take home from the collecting spots highlighted in this presentation. Some locations
are free of charge while others charge a fee to dig. But all are fun and
exciting to visit and you get to keep all that you find. Learn about the AFMS
collecting “Code of Ethics” and what equipment you will need to bring along to
help facilitate your collecting efforts. We will have samples on hand from many
of the locations. Join us for this fun and informative presentation. We will
also have a handout with the contact info and website addresses for all of the
locations for your easy reference.
